The Snow Days are upon us.  Mammoth Mountain has opened!  Just an hour and a half’s drive from Dyer, Mammoth has plenty of snow and will be packed over the holidays and into the New Year.

Happy Thanksgiving.  Queensland Vineyard completed its second harvest in September this year.  We expected to have a couple hundred pounds of fruit from each variety and create a red blend and maybe have enough Riesling to make a full barrel…We did so much better!  The Merlot, Malbec and Sangiovese vines gave us nearly 800 pounds each; Riesling gave nearly a thousand pounds.  Queensland Vineyard also connected with The Pahrump Winery this year.  Bill and Gretchen Loken run the wildly successful winery, restaurant and vineyard in Pahrump, Nevada (just outside Las Vegas).  Gold, silver and bronze medals adorn hundreds of bottles lining the walls of their tasting room.
